A cup of inspiration, a spoonful of encouragement,
and a generous outpouring of the milk of God's love . . .

Welcome to Michele Huey's God, Me, & a Cup of Tea

Picture
My soul thirsts for God. ~ Psalm 42:2

Sometimes the only thing that gets me out of my cozy, warm bed in the morning is thinking of that first cup of tea. For that, I'll throw back the covers and haul myself to the kitchen, even if my age-aches leave me groaning. There's not much that can beat tea for perking up my sleepy brain and overcoming the mid-afternoon slumps.

Medical studies have revealed that drinking tea may help prevent, even improve, a number of physical conditions: cavities, allergies, influenza, heart disease, arthritis, cancer, and Parkinson's Disease. Studies have also linked drinking tea to rejuvenating and repairing skin, hair, and nails.

Just as my body craves tea--and tea is good for it--so my soul needs God. He is to my spirit what tea is to my body. A good dose of God the first thing in the morning perks up my drooping, life-weary spirit, and helps me to overcome the slumps of anger, bitterness, envy, anger, selfishness, and ill-will. And it strengthens faith, goodwill, kindness, forgiveness, love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, meekness, and self-control.

Now, that's a cup of tea I can't do without!
